The Exciting New Blaze F

The Blaze F is built utilising the Rover MGF platform, which on completion of build negates the need for the SVA test. Further benefits of the MGF platform are production car safety features such as ABS, airbags, and the reassurance of crash protection that a modern production car offers.

The MGF platform is a mid-mounted, rear wheel drive configuration and was fitted with either 1.6 or 1.8 litre Rover K-series engines. Standard power outputs range from 110 to 157 bhp which give the Blaze F a free revving and responsive drive. With further modification the K-series is capable of developing up to 240 bhp.

The MGF came as standard with a soft-top roof, but the optional hard-top can also be used with the Blaze F. The Blaze F retains the comfort and practicality of the MGF with boot space actually increasing over the standard car.

The track has been widened 50mm front and rear to fill the wheel arches of the neatly crafted body and has also increased lateral grip. Further chassis and suspension improvements are to follow in the not too distant future.

Mechanic skills are not essential when building the new Blaze F. In fact a competent DIY enthusiast could build the car in as little as four weekends of rewarding work.
